Privacy Notice
The short version
- Your documents never reach us. Files are hashed (SHA-256) inside your own browser; the document itself is never uploaded, stored or seen by JurisChain.
- We process the minimum: a one-way fingerprint if you choose to anchor it, contact details if you submit our form, and basic technical logs.
- We use no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts on this site.
What we process, why, and on what legal basis

What stays on your device
Your sealed-records list and generated proofs/certificates are created locally and stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device unless you download or share them yourself. Clearing your browser data removes them — keep your downloaded proof files safe.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Local storage is used solely for the on-device records list described above.
Processors and recipients
- Netlify, Inc. — website hosting, form handling and serverless functions (our hosting provider and processor). Form submissions are stored in our Netlify account.
- Google Fonts — font files served by Google; your browser requests them directly from Google's servers.
- OpenTimestamps calendar servers — public, independent aggregation servers that receive only the fingerprint for blockchain anchoring.
Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on recognised safeguards (such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, per the provider's terms).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to contact@jurischain.co.uk. Note: data anchored to a public blockchain (the one-way fingerprint) is immutable by design and cannot be erased from those public records; it contains no readable personal data.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this notice as the service evolves (for example, when user accounts launch) and revise the date above.
